Evening On The Big City
|
Welcome to the Cook Family website. I am Steve, the "old man" of the bunch. We are a loving, large family. Like all families, we have our ups and downs, but we pull ourselves through them and stay strong. I am 36, and am the proud husband of Christina, who is somewhere around 29.5 years old. The children are Anthony-11, Janina-9, Elizabeth-7, and Mary-10months (as of this update).

I think it worth mentioning, I am from Va. Beach, an area rich in maritime life and history. The Atlantic Ocean is laps on the shore of the city, and the largest Navy base in the world is close by. I was more than thrilled to find that when I took Christina and the older 3 kids to "the Beach", it was their first time ever seeing the ocean. You tend to forget it is such a wondrous sight, unless you have never had it.

HOW OUR LIVES CHANGED FOREVER

When in Va. Beach, I was a coach in little league baseball. Upon my migration west, I decided to continue coaching baseball, since it is something I truly enjoy. As it turned out, the very first parent I called to introduce myself to was Christina, mother to Anthony, one of my players. She proceeded to chew me out about how he should be coached, as he is a left-handed child. I reassured her I could coach lefties. Through the course of our conversation, we discovered a strong mutual attraction. I beat her to the punch, and invited her to lunch. The rest, as they say, is history.
